10 steps to a better test result

10 steps to a better test result

10 steps to a better test result:

Welcome or welcome back to the Exam season of This Semester,

Previously on “This Semester”,

We have learned things about….!

But what can you remember from “This Semester”?

We’re going to know the answer during the exam season.

Are you excited?

Of course not, who is?

But we have to go through it, right?

So fasten your seat belts and get ready for this roller coaster of exams.

I’m sorry to bring this subject up, I know even thinking about it is stressful, for some of us, but it shouldn’t be like this;

With a great plan, you can reduce your stress and make sure that you can get better grades this semester.

What plan?

Let’s see:

  1. Know what kind of examination you’re going to have:

A multiple choice? True or False? Short answer? Oral? Essay? Knowing this will help you plan a better strategy for the way you’re going to study that lesson.

  1. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure:

Start studying and start planning at least 1 month before the exam’s date, you don’t know what will happen the day before the exam.

  1. At what times can you concentrate more?

What are you? A morning person or a night owl? When can you concentrate more? At what times of the day? Study things you have problems with at those times.

  1. Where can you concentrate more?

At what places can you learn better? At the library? At a friend’s house? In your own room? At a café? Go there and study at those places.

  1. Join study groups:

Studying with your classmates can help you and them; study with each other and help one another to understand better. It’s a win-win situation!

  1. Change the place you’re studying in:

Change it every now and then, the studies have shown us that those who do this will learn better.

  1. Give yourself a break:

Stop it, stop it right now. Close your books every now and then and try to relax. Avoid doing things that engage your mind and distract you (such as watching movies) during your breaks.

  1. Test yourself:

Ask yourself some questions, take an exam; write down your mistakes, and read them again and again and again until you are sure you have no problems with them.

  1. Reviewing is the key:

Plan some time for reviewing the important parts.

  1. Watch what you’re eating:

Yes, that’s important.

No caffeine before the exam!

Why? Caffeine increases your stress,

 plus,

No heavy foods before the exam!

Because these foods take oxygen to your digestive system instead of your brain!
