What should not be included in your Resume?
Writing a resume is perhaps one of the most important parts of finding a job. As you know, the very first things that the employer is going to find about you are all in your resume, therefore, it’s really important to know what to write and what not to write. Today, we’re going to find out things that are better not to be included in the Resume:
- Birth date:
Do not write your birth date on the resume unless the company wants you to. Sometimes the employer might not accept you because of your age (he might think you are too old or too young for the position).
- Exact address:
There is no need to write your address in detail.
- Short-term jobs:
If you had many short-term jobs do not include them; if you do the employer might think you have been fired or you like to change your job frequently.
- Irrelevant skills and experiences:
Do not include these skills if they are not related to the position you are applying for.
- Irrelevant social medias:
Include your social media just when it can help you.
- Pictures, charts, and other visual aids:
Do not use them, some employers find it hard to open these files on their computers and therefore might reject you.
- Long work experience:
Write your jobs in the last 10 years, not more.
