Today, we’re going to talk about our habits, the good ones, and the bad ones; both of which help us to improve, to be successful. If you want to change your life, but you’re not willing to break or build a habit, then do not fool yourself, deep down, YOU DON’T WANT TO CHANGE and probably will never change. A little harsh? Well, that’s the truth and someone should tell you that; let’s look at it as a wake-up call.

If you are among that group of people who expect to be successful without a single change, then I have to tell you that you have two choices:

  1. Leave the idea of succession.
  2. Leave your current lifestyle and change your method.

if you are used to waking up early in the morning and working out you’re going to be healthier in older ages; but if you are following the EAT-SLEEP-GAME-REPEAT method, then everything is going to turn upside-down. If you are used to making plans for everything, then success would be more probable in the future. What I’m trying to tell you is that our habits shape our lifestyle. Building good habits and leaving that old bad ones will make you more successful, it’s hard, isn’t it? Old habits die hard?

James Clear, the author of Atomic Habits, believes that it’s wrong to think that great achievements need great actions because it is small improvements that shape a great success in the long run.

James Clear tells us that if we improve just 1% each day, we’re going to improve 37 times more at the end of the year; on the other hand, if we regress 1% each day, we are going to be less than 0 at the end of the year.

Therefore, you don’t need to break bad habits or build new good ones in just one day, start step by step. If you believe that everything should be done in one day, then it’s going to get much harder and you might fail. Grab a paper and start planning; which habits should be changed? Which ones are helpful? Start today, tomorrow is too late.
