Checklist: Things to bring
Are you planning to study abroad in the United States?
All right, now that you are 100% sure that you’re going to pursue your dream in the US, all you have to do is to find the state, the city, and the university which you want to study in, then the actual journey will begin,
and by JOURNEY, I mean getting your VISA.

But let’s say that now you’ve got your visa and everything, and you are on your way to the airport…
Do you feel butterflies in your stomach? Have you forgotten something important?
You sure forgot something! Your baggage. Now you should turn back to pack your stuff and pray you don’t miss the flight.
But what to pack?
- Important documentation: Visa, passport, Id card, certified translations of documents, academic documents, medical records, acceptance letter… .
- Medications: Don’t forget to bring the written prescriptions from your doctor.
- Your electronic devices and their chargers and adaptor: Laptop, phone, camera, headphone … .
- local currency: You might need cash on your way, so bring a small amount of cash.
- clothing: Shirts, T-shirts, socks, sweaters, jackets, hats, scarves, gloves, Sweatshirts, underwear (for at least 2 weeks), Shoes, sneakers, sandals, formal outfit, trousers, jeans, shorts, workout clothing, belts, pajamas, swimsuit, …
* try to bring 2 sets of clothes for the weather in every season.
- Toiletries: Shampoo, soap, towel, toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, perfume, makeup products, shaving razor, nail cutter, …
- Other things: Books, bags, backpack, notebooks, pen and pencils, erasers, blankets, non-perishable food and snacks, portable mementos, …
