If you are into swimming:

  • San Diego, California:

If you want to experience swimming in the ocean, book your ticket to San Diego. You can start your day by the beach, eat your breakfast at a great Café, visit some museums or go to the zoo, go shopping with your friends, visit some clubs at night and make great memories.

  • Cape May, New Jersey:

Cape May and its greatest weather would be a good choice for your summer, a great beach, fun activities in the water, and fascinating architecture are heavenly and beautiful. This city is a great choice for everyone: that person who likes to shop or that person who likes adventure,

There are also many festivals there that you can join.

If you like some adventure:

  • Adirondacks, New York:

Speaking of adventure, where is better than Adirondack’s great camps? Beautiful mountains, a green view of nature, and a blue view of different lakes; if you spend all summer in the Adirondacks, there would still be some great places that you’ve missed.  Just imagine starting your day with birds singing and the water flowing and the sun shining; peaceful and adventurous.

  • Zion National Park, Utah:

The colorful mountains with rivers and waterfalls flowing among them are exactly all you need from a place.

Go ahead and explore!

Be careful there might be a chance of getting a heart attack after just looking at its photos.

This is one of the most amazing places to hike, explore, see, and recharge your battery for the new semester.

If you require someplace quiet and peaceful:

  • Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming:

You can find all the serenity and the beauty you want, here in Grand Teton National Park. Its beauty injects peace into your soul from sunrise to sunset and from sunset to sunrise. If you are looking for a cheap and relaxing trip, this place will be a good choice, rent a cabin or pitch a tent and start your morning with a breathtaking view.

  • Glacier National Park, Montana:

If you’re saying that you enjoy nature and you want to go somewhere green, where you can find your inner peace then Glacier National Park can be a good choice.

A place filled with more than 700 lakes, mountains, waterfalls, wildflowers, and … . If you go there, breathe the fresh air as much as you can and try to relax.

If you don’t like summer’s warm weather:

  • Fairbanks, Alaska:

Fairbanks with its great climate in the summer can be a good choice; what can you see from there? Great rivers, Arctic lakes, hot springs, and wildlife. Go and enjoy galleries and restaurants, and experience the city life and the wildlife all at once!

Oh, and there might be a surprise:

If you are eager to see the aurora borealis, August will be a good choice.

  • Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, Idaho, Montana:

If you are fond of wildlife plus adventure, plus a cheap trip, and oh …  plus a good climate, then Yellowstone National Park is the destination you should choose. The great sight of wildflowers on the hills, waterfalls pouring down, and many other great experiences help you make absolutely fun memories.

If you want to experience a great, American-style city life:

  • San Francisco, California:

I think there is no need to introduce San Francisco. The great weather, the top boutiques, the fancy restaurants, and the great entertainment facilities attract many people to San Francisco each year in the summertime or any other time.

San Francisco is surely one of the top destinations for shopaholics. You can find some elegant boutiques in Mission District. Union Square and Chinatown are also great for buyers. Pay a visit to the Saturday Farmers’ Market.

  • Chicago, Illinois:

Chicago is not only a fun place to live in but it is also a fun place to go to!

You can find everything you’re looking for in Chicago; and when I say everything, I literally mean everything from A to Z, good shopping centers, great cinemas and theaters, magnificent restaurants, and of course a perfect beach.

Do NOT miss the Magnificent Mile; it has more than 500 great shops and you won’t be able to leave there empty-handed.

It attracts many tourists from America and around the world in the summer.

If you are looking for someplace a little cheaper:

  • Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona:

If we’re talking about traveling, we must mention the Grand Canyon, Arizona. Summer is probably one of the busiest times in the Grand Canyon; But if you don’t like crowds, the North Rim is quieter than other parts of the Grand Canyon in the summer; you can explore this part by car, on foot, or by a bicycle; But if you want to go to the south rim, it is better to park your car and continue the rest of the way by bicycle. Go to this deep valley and enjoy the beauty of nature.

  • Cannon Beach, Oregon:

If you are looking for a cheap romantic trip with your partner, Cannon Beach is sure one good choice. Just imagine walking down a beautiful, yet peaceful street next to each other, having lunch in a small, yet gorgeous restaurant, walking on the beach holding hands, and taking pictures in front of the well-known Haystack Rock. Isn’t it dreamy?

There are of course many other places you can go to and make great memories. Remember:

Traveling does not only mean going to a new city or a new country, if you are not able to travel, take your backpack and explore the city where you live, and call it a trip.

Even the great explorers started their journey from their own city.
