What’s your name?
My name is Bertan Aydoğan. My friends like to call me Berty.
What’s your title?
I am working under Research and Development department.
What does your job entail?
I have been responsible for many things actually… Calling, mailing and checking clients and their needs, making sure they are happy with the results or answers they get, translations of documents and websites from English to Turkish, attending seminars and helping my colleagues, creating posts for social media accounts and replying to questions asked to us.
What is a typical day like?
I try not to wake up not so late in the morning, have a coffee with some cereal and check the news. I like to divide my day into hours so that I can take some time for myself and put a tick next to my daily responsibilities for work or people around me throughout the day. I go out for some time to find peace in nature. I like to spend my time at night. I read a lot and write more than that.
My favorite memory is when I first visited Thailand and had a monkey steal my wallet while giving me a banana.
What do you like most about your job?
I like that it is an international business that allows me to connect with people around the world. I like that I can use English and the broad range of things I can do.
Where are you from?
I was born and raised in Ankara, Turkey.
What do you like to do when you aren’t working?
I read and write every day. I spend most of my time either listening to or making some music. I play violin, piano and love to be around DJs.
Who are your favorite sports teams?
I am not into sports that much but if I have to name some, they would be Galatasaray and LA Lakers.
What’s a fun fact about you many people may not know?
When I was 4-5 years old, I wanted to be a garbage man because they were out constantly.
