Job Interview Don’ts

Job Interview Don’ts:

Do you want to start a new life in the US? Yes? Do you know what you’re going to need there?

Well, a job can bring you things you need, such as friendship, income, the feeling of success, and many more. So I think we all agree that finding a job in the US is a necessity, and we all know that to be hired we need to pass the job interview.

How can we make sure we’re going to pass the interview? By not doing certain things such as:

  • Not being prepared for the questions would be the greatest mistake of all time.
  • Not doing complete research about the company is just wrong.
  • Not being able to communicate is a great danger.
  • Showing the following personalities will never help you:

Being too satisfied with yourself

Lacking self-esteem

Having too much stress

Being aggressive

Exaggerating a lot

Bring a lot of excuses

Being immature

  • Going to the interview without a goal and a plan is not what you want to do.
  • Not asking questions is not a good point.
  • Not smiling and not having passion will ruin your future.
  • Talking about money and your income a lot is a mistake.
  • Complaining about your previous coworkers or employer is the worst thing you can do.
  • Not having eye contact is not a good thing.
  • Stating that you want this position for a short time is not a smart thing to do.
  • Turning up late is the biggest mistake.
  • Asking about other applicants is not helpful.
  • Smocking is wrong.
  • Chewing gum is not polite.
  • Sitting upright is the key; not too impolite and not stressful.
  • Not dressing well is not a good sign.
  • Sharing too much is wrong.
  • Not being yourself can’t get you the job.
  • Asking inappropriate questions decreases your chances.
  • Using famous people’s quotes is a mistake.
  • If you don’t know whether the interviewer is Mrs. or Ms., you better call her Ms.
  • Not putting your phone on silent and answering it in the middle of the interview is not OK.
