How much do you know about the USA?

Did you know a good way to make sure that you will do better after immigration is to get to know the country you’re going to?

Today we’re going to learn some new stuff about the land of opportunities, the USA:

  1. Did you know that the emblem of America is the bald eagle?
  2. Did you know that there are 50 stars and 13 stripes on the US flag? The stars represent 50 states and the stripes are referring to the original Thirteen Colonies.
  3. Did you know that Washington D.C., the capital of the USA, is not in any of the states?
  4. Did you know the largest state is Alaska? An interesting fact is that Russia sold Alaska to America in 1867 for 7.2 million dollars.
  5. How about this, did you know that Harvard is the very first university that was established in the US? It was founded in 1637, more than 3 centuries; oh it was like yesterday.
  6. Did you know that Virginia is also called the mother of presidents? 8 of the US presidents were born in this American state:

  1. Oh, did you know that the youngest president of the United States was John F. Kennedy, who was elected when he was 43 years old, and the oldest president, so far, is Joe Biden, who was elected when he was 78 years old?
  2. And yeah this one, did you know that the highest mountain in the US is located in Alaska and is called Denali and it is 6190 meters?
  3. I guess you didn’t know this one; did you know that during the Dutch Golden Age New York was named New Amsterdam?
  4. Did you know that daylight saving time is observed in all of the US except Hawaii, most of Arizona, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, and American Samoa?
